I read about data mining. In which kind of databases and the techniques are used and the techniques used to mine the data in the database. I want to know which RDBMS is used now-a-days for datamining. So I refered it and found that SAS(Sequence Annotated Structure) is effectively used for datamining.While reading google talk came to know that Yahoo has launched Mash as a beta version in this weekend.It was interesting that each one can edit the profile of others.More importantly, one can create a new profile for somebody else and then inite them to 'claim' that profile and make it theirs.

Datamining can be done in different kinds of data,whish are all in different information repositories like RDBMS,Object oriented databases,Mulitmedia databases.SAS is a software that is used to analyse the data in the database.It can help companies predict customer behavior for marketing campaigns, determine future supplier reliability or anticipate manufacturing problems.
